Get ready to lace up your walking shoes for the 2026 Walk In My Shoes event in Niceville, Florida! On Friday, April 24th, 2026, thousands of participants will unite at the Emerald Coast CAC for a purpose-driven 1,500-mile trek across the state. This uplifting event, held in honor of National Sexual Assault Awareness Month and National Child Abuse Prevention Month, aims to raise awareness and support for survivors of child sexual abuse.
The walk kicks off at 9:00 AM, with registration starting at 8:00 AM. Participants can choose to take on a scenic 5-mile route to JoJos Coffee and Goodness or challenge themselves with the full 10-mile journey back to the starting point. To make it even easier for walkers, an UBER code will be provided for a convenient ride back. Join the Laurens Kids foundation and your fellow community members for a day of solidarity, awareness, and healing – every step counts!

Join the Laurens Kids foundation and thousands of walkers across the state for the 2026 Walk in My Shoes 1,500-mile trek across Florida. Join us for a 5-mile walk to JoJos Coffee and Goodness (4652 E Hwy 20 #102, Niceville, FL 32578) with the opportunity to stop or continue walking our full 10-mile route back to Emerald Coast CAC.
An UBER code will be provided to walkers to cover the cost of a ride back from the walk.

We'll start registration at the Emerald Coast CAC at 8:00 AM on Friday, April 24th, and begin to walk at 8:00 AM. Our first walk section is 5 miles, and we'll take a short water break at JoJos Coffee and Goodness, 4652 E Hwy 20 #102, Niceville, FL 32578. Those who wish to finish the walk will continue back to Emerlad Coast CAC - another 5 miles - where we'll have our final celebration! All participants will receive a t-shirt and drawstring backpack at registration. Like in years past, we are partnering with Uber to provide the ability for walkers to drop at any point they wish and ride share their way off of the walk route. Free ride share codes will be provided to walkers at registration. Please make sure to have the Uber app downloaded to your phone prior to your arrival.
