Starting at Kleman Plaza (306 S Duval St., Tallahassee, FL 32301) at 3:30 PM, participants will walk the final three miles led by Lauren, making every step count in the fight against child sexual abuse and supporting survivors in their healing journey.
After the walk, the excitement continues with a fantastic Block Party, perfect for families and individuals of all ages. Enjoy a range of fun activities, from kid-friendly games and face painting to interactive safety-education booths and resources from community partners. Savor delicious food, chill out with snow cones, and meet therapy animals as you celebrate this meaningful cause. Plus, don’t worry about your ride home—an UBER code will be provided to ensure you get back safely. Come be part of this inspiring event and make a difference in your community!

Join the Laurens Kids foundation and thousands of walkers across the state for the 2026 Walk in My Shoes 1,500-mile trek across Florida. April is National Sexual Assault Awareness Month and National Child Abuse Prevention Month every step counts in the fight to prevent child sexual abuse and help survivors heal.

The Block Party is a FREE, family-friendly party packed with fun! Enjoy hands-on activities, kid-friendly games and giveaways, interactive safety-education booths, and community partners sharing resources. Families can also visit with law enforcement and fire rescue plus crowd favorites like face painting, a bounce house, snow cones, therapy animals, music, food, and more!
Just like in years past, an UBER code will be provided to walkers to cover the cost of a ride back to any location necessary following the walk or the Block Party.

We'll start registration at Kleman Plaza at 2:00 PM on Friday, May 1st, and begin walking at 3:30 PM. Join us for the FINAL 3 miles of our 1,500-mile journey as we walk to the steps of the (insert safety fair location). Well start in Kleman Plaza (306 S Duval St., Tallahassee, FL 32301) and end on South Adams Street in town for a Block Party and celebration for all ages! The Block Party is a FREE, family-friendly block party packed with fun! Enjoy hands-on activities, kid-friendly games and giveaways, interactive safety-education booths, and community partners sharing resources.
