JOIN US FOR THE WHEELING TURKEY TROT: 5K RUN/WALK & 1K CHILDREN'S FUN RUN!

Get ready to kick off your Thanksgiving celebrations with a spirited community event that supports the Wheeling Parks and Recreation mission: "to build healthy communities through people, parks, and programs.

EVENT DETAILS:

* DATE: Thursday, November 28th
* LOCATION: Alma Grace McDonough Center, Wheeling University Campus

SCHEDULE:

* 7:00 AM: Packet pickup and registration open at the McDonough Center
* 8:30 AM: 1K Childrens Fun Run
* 8:30 AM: Packet pickup and registration close
* 8:45 AM: Begin to line up at the start
* 9:00 AM: 5K Run and Walk

EXCITING EXTRAS:

* Participants in the 5K will have a chance to win fantastic prizes in a random drawing.
- After the race, enjoy complimentary snacks and refreshments inside the McDonough Center, where you can mingle with fellow participants and celebrate your accomplishments.

VIRTUAL PARTICIPATION: Cant join us in person? No problem! Sign up as a "Pardoned Turkey" to participate virtually and secure a stylish event T-shirt. Your T-shirt will be available for pickup at packet pick-up, on race day at the McDonough Center, or at the Parks and Recreation office starting December 2nd.

AWARD CEREMONY: Celebrate your achievements at our awards ceremony, held immediately after the race inside the McDonough Center.

EARLY PACKET PICK-UP (RECOMMENDED): Pick up your race packet at the Parks and Recreation Office located at 10 Hunter Avenue, Wheeling, WV 26003 on the following dates:

* Tuesday, November 26th 9 AM 7 PM
* Wednesday, November 27th 9 AM 1 PM

DAY OF RACE REGISTRATION: Registration and packet pick-up will also be available at the McDonough Center from 7:00 AM 8:30 AM on race day.
