Event summary
Runners can enjoy the vibrant atmosphere starting with late registration and packet pickup on Saturday, April 25, at the Windjammer Park Interpretive Center. Race day kicks off bright and early with the full marathon starting at 7:00 AM from Bowman Bay Boat Launch, followed by the half marathon at 8:30 AM and the 10K and 5K races at 9:00 AM. The Kids 1K takes place at 10:00 AM, ensuring a fun-filled day for families. With fantastic support throughout the course and a lively post-race celebration, the Whidbey Island Marathon is not just a race; it's a destination event that you won’t want to miss
Organiser's Description
This scenic, Washington coast destination race takes place April 26, 2026 in Oak Harbor and features a full marathon, half marathon, 10K, 5K and Kids 1K. The point-to-point marathon is the only race that closes the famed Deception Pass Bridge. All other races start/finish on the Oak Harbor Waterfront. With wonderful support throughout at the race and a fun, festive postrace atmosphere, this is a must do destination race for all runners!

Kids will run/walk a 1K loop within Windjammer Park. Parents are welcome to accompany their children during the 1K run but do not need to register as well. The kids run will start after the completion of the 5K so kids can participate in the 5K as well with their families but do not need to register. -
