Hosted at the beautiful Palmetto Hall within the Wild Dunes Resort, participants can look forward to a thrilling day filled with swimming, biking, and running. With a limited cap of 100 enthusiastic athletes, each child will enjoy a personalized race experience.
The Wild Child Triathlon features age-specific race distances to ensure every young competitor can showcase their talents. For the youngest athletes aged 6, the race includes a 25-meter swim, 1-mile bike ride, and a 0.5-mile run. Ages 7-8 will tackle the same swimming and biking distances, while those aged 9-10 will swim 50 meters, bike 1 mile, and run 1 mile. The older age group of 11-12 will take on a more challenging course with a 100-meter swim, a 3-mile bike ride, and a 1-mile run. Join us for a day of excitement, camaraderie, and healthy competition

Get ready for a splash, sprint, and ride at the "Wild Child Triathlon," hosted by IOP LENS! This exhilarating event will take place at the picturesque Palmetto Hall within the Wild Dunes Resort. Open to young triathletes aged 6-12, the race features swimming, biking, and running segments, capped at 100 spirited participants to ensure a personalized experience.
Age Categories - age of athlete is determined by their age on Dec. 31st, 2025. Please register for the appropriate age category.
Age 6:
25 meter swim / 1 mile bike / .50 mile run
Age 7-8:
25 meter swim / 1 mile bike / .50 mile run
Age 9-10:
50 meter swim / 1 mile bike / 1 mile run
Age 11-12:
100 meter swim / 3 mile bike / 1 mile run
