This is a Moreland Community Event run by the Moreland Education Foundation. Our goal is to build community and to raise money to continue enhancing Art, Music, Sports and the education enrichment of the students in all seven schools in the Moreland School District. Join this fun family event with your Moreland community and invite friends and relatives. Enjoy a fun morning out, community booths, games, and food & a friendly competition among schools. Please wear your school colors to show your school pride! Note kids under 5 are free and don't need to register as they won't receive a bib.

    We encourage you to wear your school colors or spirit wear! Invite your friends and extended family! Kids under 5 are free and don't need to register as they won't receive a bib. Strollers are welcome, but no scooters or bikes are allowed no the course. Please note since this is on a school campus no dogs are allowed. The race starts at the Moreland Middle School field at 1850 Fallbrook Ave, San Jose. The course goes along closed residential streets over to Latimer School before turning back and finishing where it started. Please arrive early as roads be closed and parking might get difficult. We'll open checkin at 8:15am so that you can pick up your bibs before the race. You will need to pin the bibs on the front of your shirt in order to get timed. We'll try and get a group picture this year on the track around 8:45am. Timeline: 8:15am Check-in Starts 8:45am Line up & Group Photo 9:00am Runners & Walkers Start 9:05am Stroller & Scooter Start 10:30am Official Race Ends 10:15am -10:45am School Photos on Lawn Community Corner will be open on the field starting at 9:00am. This year the Climate Carnival, Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters and San Jose Library will be on site with some fun activities. They will be located in front of the food trucks on the lawn --please swing by and check it out! Additional Information Restrooms & Water are available at the start in the community gym, the halfway point at Latimer, and at the finish line at the school tents. Course conditions: The majority of the course will be on asphalt with a small portions of gravel and grass. We will have bikers leading you through the course, along with many chalked lines and volunteers to help direct you. We will also have some race tails to ensure no one is left behind. Parking: Limited parking at the Moreland district office 4711 W Campbell Ave (entrance on Fallbrook) in San Jose. There is additional neighborhood parking across Campbell Ave off Northlawn Dr, Mayfield Ave, or Elmwood Dr. Note that Duvall Dr, Student Ln and part of Castro Dr will be closed for the race so plan ahead. You may also park off of Villarita or Palo Santo and walk through the MMS blacktop courts off of Castro. Food & Treats: We are fortunate to have The Coffee Shack and Kona Ice at the event. The Coffee Shack will be selling coffee at 8am and Kona Ice will start selling at 9am. This year the school tents will serve free post race treats and goodies. One of our Heart of Gold sponsors, Family Heart Foundation will also be at the finish line, please swing by and say hello.
