Each route features scenic lakefront views, rolling hills, and iconic Wildflower terrain—designed to test your limits and reward you with unforgettable, high-energy race vibes.

What's Included

How to Get There

The nearest town on Hwy 101 to Wildflower Experience at Lake San Antonio is Paso Robles, CA. It is approximately 50–55 miles from Lake San Antonio, depending on the route.

The nearest airports are:
San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport (SBP). Distance: ~60 miles / ~1.5 hours’ drive to Lake San Antonio

Other options (larger international airports, farther away):
Monterey Regional Airport (MRY) – ~70 miles / ~1.5–2 hours’ drive
San Jose International Airport (SJC) – ~145 miles / ~3 hours’ drive
Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) – ~230 miles / ~4–5 hours’ drive

For most out-of-state or international travelers, SBP or MRY is the easiest access, with a rental car needed to reach Lake San Antonio since public transit is minimal.

Parking

1-day Festival Access Passes are available for those not camping at the park, which will cover parking and Festival Access.

Location

Set against sweeping hills and pristine lake views, Lake San Antonio’s South Shore Park in Monterey County is the perfect setting for the Wildflower Experience. The campground has breathtaking lakeside access, open spaces, and miles of scenic terrain. It’s surrounded by attractions like vineyards, hiking and wildlife areas, historic missions, and the boutique shops and dining of Paso Robles and neighboring towns—an ideal hub for athletes, families, and outdoor explorers.

  • What are the lodging options?

    Most of our participants will camp at the event site the weekend of the event. Staying on-site gives you the biggest advantage for convenience — you’re right at the lake and festival area, and you don’t have to commute to “race morning.” Many say this is part of what makes the event feel like a true “camp + race + festival” weekend. Lodging & camping at Wildflower: On-site camping at the venue — You can stay right where the action is, at the event grounds (typically at or near Lake San Antonio). This is the classic “festival camping” experience that many longtime participants choose. Standard tents or RV camping — Camping can be by tent or RV (if you bring your own), offering a budget-friendly way to stay on-site. Many participants bring their own gear. “Glamping” / Premium Camping Options — For those who want more comfort, the organizers offer upgraded lodging such as canvas “Bell Tents” (or similar), sometimes with queen beds and linens. On-site RV delivery/rentals — Some packages include RV deliveries (or RV rentals) sent to the festival grounds for you, so you don’t have to haul your own RV.
