This unique event invites outdoor enthusiasts to support the Connecticut Forest & Park Association (CFPA) while exploring the stunning Blue-Blazed Hiking Trails across eight picturesque Connecticut counties.
Choose from a variety of hiking routes tailored to different skill levels, ranging from the challenging 11-mile Mohawk to Housatonic State Forest trek to the easier 3.5-mile Risley Reservoir Loop. Participants who log at least one hike will receive a special CFPA camp mug, while the fastest hiker to complete all routes will win a gift certificate! Discover breathtaking frozen waterfalls, tranquil vistas, and wildlife tracks as you embrace the beauty of winter. Support CFPA's care for the Blue-Blazed Hiking Trails and Connecticut's woodlands while you discover the diverse landscapes of EIGHT hikes in EIGHT Connecticut counties--each featuring a Blue-Blazed hiking route designed to captivate your senses.
Whether youre a seasoned hiker or new to winter adventures, these trails offer something for every skill level. Along the way, uncover hidden gems: frozen waterfalls, quiet vistas, wildlife tracks, and sweeping views revealed only in the colder months.
Every participant who logs at least one hike will receive a special CFPA camp mug that clips right onto your pack! The participant who completes all routes listed with the fastest accumulated times for each route wins a gift certificate.
The adventure begins on the Winter Solstice and wraps up on the Spring SolsticeDecember 21 through March 20. Gear up for an unforgettable season of exploration, and join us for scheduled group hikes offered on the challenging Blue-Blazed routes found below:
