Set in the enchanting town of Springfield, Greene, this whimsical event invites participants of all ages to grab their wands and hop on their broomsticks for a spellbinding experience. Choose between a thrilling 5K, a delightful 1-mile fun run, or take on the CHOSEN ONE CHALLENGE and do both!
This year, attendees will kick off the festivities with an extraordinary session led by the Grand Sorcerer, who will teach two captivating spells to set the tone for the day. As the fog gathers and the magical atmosphere comes alive with music and colorful sparks, runners will embark on their journey through the enchanted start gate. Costumes are highly encouraged, so don your best wizard or witch attire and join us for a day filled with fun, fitness, and fantasy at the Springfield Wizard Run!

Grab your wand, hop on your broomstick, and join us for the Springfield Wizard Run! Take a magical journey through town with spellbinding sights and sounds along the way! Distances include a 5K, 1 mile fun run, or if you are up to the CHOSEN ONE CHALLENGE - BOTH!
NEW FOR 2023: Every Wizard Run Event begins with our Grand Sorcerer teaching all attendees two bewitching new spells. The first causes a low fog to gather over the enchanted start gate and prepares those gathered for the next, more powerful spell. Once the low fog has taken over the ground on which we stand, the Grand Sorcerer will start the race with a spell that calls forth magical music, sends otherworldly sparks and colorful magic into the air, and ends with a loud horn to launch the witches and wizards on their run through the enchanted start gate!
Proper Wizard and Witch robes and regalia (costumes) are highly encouraged!

CLOSEDAll Chosen One Challenge Participants must run/jog the entirety of the 1 mile event. The 1 mile takes place at 7:30am followed by the 5k at 8:00am. Chosen One Challenge Participants are required to finish the 1 mile in no more than 25 minutes to allow time to regroup at the magical start gate to join the 5k participants. No late starts for the 1 mile or 5k event are allowed. The Chosen One Challenge Bonus Medal will be awarded to you at the magical finish gate of the 5k.
