With a start time at 8 AM from the Lodge, the event features a well-marked course and local police presence to ensure safety. Participants can look forward to a lively atmosphere with a bounce house for kids, food and drink vendors like Quickly Boba and Pike Road Coffee, and exciting raffle prizes provided by local businesses. Registration is just $20 until April 20th, and kids aged 4 and under can join for free! Welcome or welcome back to Woodland Creeks 2nd Annual Memorial Day 5K! What an awesome turnout last year. We are very excited for an even better race this year! This exciting charity event is open to participants of all ages and fitness levels, and promises to be a fun-filled day for the entire family. All proceeds will go to River Region Trails. We want to see Pike Road grow to become a thriving, active, outdoor community and what better way to kickstart that than to support this non-profit! This is a chip-timed event for more age brackets and medals! Medals are handmade out of wood from the Woodland Creek woods. Register by April 20th to be guaranteed a race t-shirt, thereafter t-shirts will be first come first serve until we run out. Online registration will remain open until 7:30AM on 5/27. Packet pickup is Saturday 10-12am and Sunday 2-4pm. The course will be well-marked and police presence will be at the entrance outside the Lodge to direct traffic, as well as EMS. The course remains exactly the same however this year the it will go clockwise instead of counter clockwise. We have partnered with many local businesses for raffle goodies after the event (ticket included with registration). A beer ticket will also be included for each 21+ yr old registrant for a post-race drink. Quickly Boba (cash, Venmo, Paypal) and Pike Road Coffee (cash and credit card) will be present selling drinks and food.
A professional photographer will be shooting the event, there will be a "step and repeat" backdrop for photo ops and a bounce house for the littles! (Thank you, Pike Road Inflatables!)
This is a fantastic opportunity to get some exercise, have fun, and support the local community, so come join us for a memorable day of fitness and fun at the 2nd Annual Woodland Creek Memorial 5K Run/Walk!
Start time: 8am. Start and finish at the Lodge. Cut-off time is one hour. We will begin the awards ceremony at 9am and the raffle to follow.
