This year’s race theme is "Totally 80s," so don your best leg warmers and neon gear for a chance to win exciting costume prizes while enjoying a fun throwback atmosphere! More than just a race, this community-driven event has raised over $40,000 for local charities, including Community Kitchens of Northeastern Connecticut, emphasizing the importance of food access in the region. Ready for a challenge? The Woodstock CT Marathon takes you through 26.2 miles of stunning rural Connecticut countryside with nearly 2,000 feet of elevation gain. This is not your flat, fast courseexpect rolling hills, scenic backroads, and a true test of your endurance through the beautiful Quiet Corner.

RACE OPTIONS:

_Full Marathon_ - Individual runners tackling the complete 26.2-mile course
_Relay Teams_ - Share the challenge with 2-5 teammates

2026 Theme: Totally 80s! Break out your leg warmers, neon, and best '80s gear for costume prizes and a fun throwback atmosphere at this year's race.

Why RUN WOODSTOCK? This grassroots community event has raised over $40,000 for Community Kitchens of Northeastern Connecticut (CKNECT) and other local charities. Every registration supports food access throughout the region. Our motto is, "It takes a community to run a marathon"and you'll feel that support every step of the way from our incredible volunteers, neighbors who gather to cheer on the runners, local sponsors, and fellow runners.

COURSE DETAILS: The challenging course features rural roads with blind turns, some unpaved sections, and shared traffic. Our community-driven race emphasizes safety, camaraderie, and the satisfaction of conquering a tough course for a great cause.

_-BECAUSE PARTS OF THE COURSE ARE NOT PAVED, AND IN SOME MORE REMOTE AREAS, IT IS POSSIBLE THAT AN INJURED RUNNER MIGHT HAVE TO WAIT MORE THAN 15 MINUTES FOR EMERGENCY MEDICAL CARE. EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES WILL BE ON CALL DURING THE RACE. HOWEVER, PLEASE DO NOT ENTER THIS RACE IF YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO ACCEPT THE RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH THIS COURSE._

_-THERE IS A STRICT 6 HOUR PACE FOR THE MARATHON. DUE TO ROUTE SAFETY AND VOLUNTEER COORDINATION, WE CAN ONLY ALLOW RUNNERS ON THE COURSE FROM 8:00AM TO 2:00PM. TOWN CONSTABLES, EMS, WATER TABLES, AND OTHER SUPPORT SYSTEMS ARE PLANNED TO ADHERE TO THIS SCHEDULE. SHOULD A RUNNER BE UNABLE TO FINISH THE COURSE, THE DESIGNATED PACER VEHICLE WILL TRANSPORT RUNNERS TO THE FINISH LINE._

    The Marathon starts at the Woodstock Hill Common, runs through the hills and valleys of Woodstock and finishes with a Finish Line Event at Taylor Brooke Brewery, located at 181 Route 171 in Woodstock CT. https://www.woodstockctmarathon.com/map-route PLEASE NOTE: This is a VERY challenging course with close to 2000 feet elevation gain and the majority of the roads remain open to cars. While the organizers do everything we can to ensure a safe and fun race, runners accept the risk of running in these conditions.

    Tackle 26.2 miles as a team through the scenic hills of Woodstock! Perfect for groups who want the marathon experience together. The Relay starts and finishes at the same time and locations as the Individual Marathon. Relay Details: Registration: Every team member MUST register in order to run. Relay Bibs: Every runner will receive a numbered bib at bib pickup. Final team runner/finisher will receive a special, marked bib with chip. The finisher is responsible for wearing the chipped bib across the finish line. Bib Pickup: Bibs can be picked up Friday evening, May1, at Taylor Brooke Winery or Saturday morning at the Start line before 7:45 AM Team Size: 2-5 runners Leg Distances: 4.5 to 6 miles each (for 5-person teams) Exchanges: Marked locations throughout the course Transportation: Teams are responsible for getting to/from exchange points PLEASE NOTE: This is a VERY challenging course with close to 2000 feet elevation gain and the majority of the roads remain open to cars.
