Organiser's Description
June 20th is the internationally recognized date where the world recognizes refugees, the journeys they make to their new homes and all the contributions they bring with. This date was determined by the United Nations High Commission for Refugees where the Refugee Alliance of Central Iowa (RACI; "Rah-See") is honored to have organized Central Iowa's local events for the past 12 years. While participating in this fun run and walk, one will have the opportunity to engage with the refugee community and learn important facts about Iowa's history of resettling refugees through the 'refugee fact walk'. Please join us for the event and come show your support for refugees in Central Iowa!
