Join us for the WVMTR Annual Meeting on Saturday, July 19, 2025, in the beautiful Otter Creek Wilderness Area near Elkins, Randolph. This exciting event will take place at the Bear Heaven Campground, a charming primitive site nestled among scenic rock outcroppings, perfect for bouldering enthusiasts.
Get ready for a day filled with adventure as guided runs of various distances kick off at 9:00 AM, allowing participants to explore the stunning trails of Otter Creek. After burning some calories, enjoy a delicious pizza lunch at noon, courtesy of WVMTR. The afternoon includes a General Membership Meeting at 1:00 PM, where you can share your thoughts and help shape the future of the club, followed by a Board of Directors Meeting at 2:30 PM. This is a fantastic opportunity for both members and non-members to come together, connect, and enjoy the great outdoors. Don't forget to register for this amazing day of camaraderie and fun!

Organiser's Description
The 2025 Annual Club Meeting is returning to the Otter Creek Wilderness Area. We are meeting at the Bear Heaven Campground [https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/mnf/recarea/?recid=6981], which is a small primitive campground located outside of Elkins on Forest Road 91. The campground has eight available campsites that are nestled along rock outcroppings that offer some nice bouldering opportunities. Runs of various distances planned from the campground on the trails of Otter Creek.
This is a WVMTR Club Event that has no registration fee, but participants must register so there is an e-signed waiver and emergency information available. Members and non-members are welcome!
SCHEDULE:
* 9:00 am: Doing what a running club does best! Guided runs of various distances are planned.
* 12:00 pm: Lunch. Pizza provided by WVMTR. Please bring drinks to supplement.
* 1:00 pm: General Membership Meeting. This meeting offers club members an opportunity to give input and direction to WVMTR and to gain insight into current positions and future goals.
* 2:30 pm: Board of Directors Meeting.
DIRECTIONS:
From Elkins go east on State Highway 33 for approximately 11 miles, turn left on Forest Road 91 at the top of Shaver's Mountain. Follow Forest Road 91 for approximately 3 miles. Bear Heaven Campground will be on the left.
