Get ready to lace up your running shoes for the 48th Annual XIT Empty Saddle Race on Saturday, August 9th, 2025, in the vibrant town of Dalhart, Texas! This fun and family-friendly event features both a 5K and a 1-mile run, making it perfect for runners of all ages and skill levels. The race kicks off at the Pavilion, where participants will enjoy a well-organized morning with packet pickup starting the day before at the Brickstreet Community Center. The excitement begins with the 1-mile race at 7:00 AM, followed by the 5K at 7:30 AM.

Not only does this event promise a thrilling experience, but it also supports a great cause, with all proceeds benefiting the Dallam Hartley Counties Healthcare Foundation. For just $35 for a single race or $45 for both, runners will receive a bib, access to water stations, and a runners bag filled with goodies.
