Or already running the 5k and want one more lap with the community? Join us for The Freedom Lap: a one-loop celebration around the park designed for everyone. Start time: Approximately 9:30am after the 5k concludes and awards ceremony is complete Distance: 1 loop around Fort Hunt Park Who It's For: Walkers, runners, supporters- ALL are welcome Vibe: Fun, inclusive, community-centered Your Race Director will be joining you for this lap! This will be my first time participating alongside you, and I can't wait to share that moment together. Even though this is a shorter event, you'll still get the full You Matter Juneteenth Freedom 5k experience including: Food, Music & DJ, Community Vibes, Post-race festivities. Plus, a portion of proceeds will go toward our scholarship fund for DMV-area graduating seniors. Your participation makes a real impact.
