Join us for the exciting YRC Earth Day 5K on Wednesday, April 22nd, 2026, in the beautiful Sault Ste. Marie, Chippewa! This fun and affordable event, priced at just $15, invites runners and walkers of all levels to celebrate Earth Day while enjoying the scenic downtown area starting at Bird's Eye Outfitters at 6 PM. Participants will receive a special token for $1 off a beverage at Bird's Eye Outfitters, along with a chance to select a medal from previous Yooper Running Company races.
This eco-friendly event encourages everyone to bring "anything but a cup" for their drinks, and participants are invited to donate empty cans, glasses, or bottles to support the Outhouse Consortium, a non-profit dedicated to maintaining local trails. Race results will be available online, with awards for the top three finishers in each gender. Don’t miss out on discounted YRC T-shirts available for purchase on race day! Packet pick-up begins at 4:30 PM at 107 E Portage Avenue. Come and be part of this uplifting celebration of community and sustainability!

Organiser's Description
Celebrate Earth Day with an affordable ($15) and sustainable 5K Run/Walk from Bird's Eye Outfitters in downtown Sault Sainte Marie on Wednesday, April 22nd, 2026! All entrants receive a token for $1 off a beverage at Bird's Eye Outfitters and and a choice of a leftover medal from one of the Yooper Running Company races. Bring "anything but a cup" to fill up your drink. Bring your empty cans/glasses/bottles to donate towards Outhouse Consortium, a non-profit organization that is focused on the development and maintenance of trails in the area. All race results will be provided via Yooper Running Company with overall awards for the top 3 runners in each gender. YRC T-Shirts will be discounted and available for purchase with cash or venmo on race day!
