With a 3-hour cutoff, participants will navigate both new and established trails, so don't forget your required gear: a mountain or hybrid bike, helmet, life jacket, and a few snacks to keep your energy up! With a registration fee of $40 per person, you'll also receive a race shirt and enjoy refreshments throughout the day. Weather looks good for Saturday!

LOCATION--STAY ON MAIN ROAD AT AREA 4 AND DRIVE TO SHELTER IN DAY USE AREA.
Bikes and kayak,paddle boards drop along with helmets and life vests by the shelter.
Racers will be given pre-plotted maps,instructions and punch cards at check in.
Remember only 1 kayak or board per team.
Suggestions--
Knee high or compression socks or pants or tights for the run section.
WILL BE ON THE NEW TRAILS BUT WITH THE RAIN IT MAY BE A CHALLENGE.
Tick spray or duct tape might be a good idea but I've been there many times and never had but a couple.
MAP CASE OR ZIPLOCK BAGS FOR MAPS AND INSTRUCTIONS.
Pack to carry water,tire repair kit and snacks.
IF YOU HAVE TIME GO TO THE FREE APP HANDY GPS.YOU CAN USE THIS FOR THE RACE!!
A VERY FUN RACE AND DOABLE FOR ALL!!!

CalTopo Maps,(pre-plotted) instructions,punch cards handed out at check in.
A day pass can be purchased in the park.
FORMAT--Solo,teams of 2 or 3 person (male,female,coed) teams check in together will run/hike/ mountain bike and kayak in and around Rockford Lake
START/FINISH is at Area # 4 Shelter East side of the lake.
Kayaks will be dropped at shoreline in area # 4.
Teams only need 1 kayak or paddle board. . You decide who will paddle.
Teams may use a free app HandyGPS for assistance. And compass help.
A good part of the course is on new trails.
Required Gear--mountain or hybrid bike, helmet, bike repair kit or extra tube in case of flat, large zip lock bag for maps and race material, life jacket, cell phone, water, snacks, sun screen and tick spray.
A reminder!!! Only 1 kayak or paddle board per team. Teams will decide who paddles.
