This exciting event invites participants of all ages to outrun zombies while navigating a fun-filled 5K course or a shorter 1-mile Fun Run on the campus of Cedarville Schools. As you race for your life, you’ll encounter two "infected zones" in the 5K and one in the 1-mile option, where you must dodge the zombies eager to snatch your flags. Whether you choose to walk or run, the goal is to finish with at least one flag to be crowned a "Survivor." Every participant will earn a medal at the finish line, with special awards for the fastest male and female runners in the 5K. Gather your friends and family for a day of fun, fitness, and a little fright, all while supporting the Cedarville Basketball Program. Organiser's Description
Zombies have taken over the school !! Everyone must race for their lives to outrun these flesh-eating creatures. Gather your family and friends as there's no time to wait! We must save the human race!
The Zombie Fun Run is a 5K course on the campus of Cedarville Schools. Participants have the option of choosing the 5K or the 1mile Fun Run. The 5K Run will have 2 designated "infected zones" through which runners will make a dash and avoid being infected by the zombies within. The 1mile Fun Run will have 1 designated "infected zone". You can walk or run in this event.
Participants in both the 5k and 1 mile will wear a "life belt" with flags. Zombies will attempt to snatch one of your flags as you pass by. If you finish the race with at least 1 flag, you will be considered a "Survivor." If you have no flags left, you will be considered "Infected." The zombies will be trained not to be aggressive but to gently pull your flag. Stay alert so you can protect your life lines!
ALL participants will be given a medal at the finish line. There will be additional awards given to the fastest male and female in the 5k.
All proceeds go to the Cedarville Basketball Program
