Organiser's Description
Just like clockwork, ospreys (Pandion haliaetus) depart every fall for warmer climates in the tropics. Help us bid farewell to Lacawacs resident osprey with our Fall 10K Run/Walk! This scenic course winds through diverse landscapes, supporting habitat conservation efforts. The Lacawac osprey nest, perched high above Heron Pond across from our Education Center, is a seasonal home to these incredible birds before they embark on their journey south.
Proceeds of the run/walk will benefit the upkeep and maintenance of Lacawac's Browning Beaver Meadow Sanctuary, a former sanctuary of the NEPA Audubon Society.
