This family-friendly event is a beloved Thanksgiving tradition, featuring an exciting out-and-back race on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 28th. Participants can choose between the exhilarating 5K run/walk, which starts at 7 AM, or the 1 Mile Fun Run kicking off at 8 AM. For those who prefer to run from the comfort of their own neighborhood, a virtual 5K option is also available!
Starting and ending at the iconic Amalie Arena, located at 401 Channelside Drive, Tampa, FL 33602, this event welcomes limited strollers and dogs, making it an inclusive experience for all. Not only will you enjoy a fantastic day of fitness and community spirit, but your participation also supports vital programs like LIVESTRONG at the YMCA, which provides wellness support to cancer survivors. Join us for a morning of movement, family, and gratitude, and help make a difference while you celebrate the holiday season!

An out-and-back Thanksgiving morning race tradition for the whole family! Held on Thursday, November 28th. We start and end at Amalie Arena located at 401 Channelside Drive, Tampa, FL 33602. Your choice of 1 MILE FUN RUN WHICH STARTS AT 8AM,5K RUN/ WALK WHICH STARTS AT 7AM, or a virtual 5k from anywhere! Limited strollers and dogs welcome, please register appropriately. If requesting a ladies size t-shirt, please keep in mind they run small and order a size up.
The Y is proud to say that the Tampa YMCA Turkey Gobble covers 100% of the cost our LIVESTRONG at the YMCA cancer survivor wellness program across the entire Tampa YMCA association AND our youth cancer survivor program: _Kids Thrivers Club_. The free 12-week programs offers adults and children affected by cancer a safe, supportive environment to participate in physical and social activities focused on strengthening the whole person. While participating in the program, participants and their household family members receive a membership to the Tampa YMCA, helping the whole family regain their health.

OPENS MAY 25Can't join us in person at the 10th Annual Tampa YMCA Turkey Gobble? Why not, run/walk it virtually?! Registrants that sign up for the Virtual Run option will choose their own start line: a treadmill, neighborhood street, or another race and run/walk the distance of your choice: 1 Mile or 5K. Emailing finish times is NOT required and you will not show up at the start line for this event! Each registrant will receive a finisher medal, race bib, and a race shirt (shirt size guaranteed if registered by 11/10/24). Please come to one of the pre-race packet pickups to get your medal and shirt.
