Join the fun at the 14th Annual Twinkle Toes 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run on Saturday, December 14, 2024, in the charming town of Star, Montgomery! This exciting event invites runners of all ages and abilities to participate in either a scenic 5K or a delightful 1-mile fun run. The 1-mile race kicks off at 8:00 AM, followed by the 5K at 9:00 AM. Both courses wind through the picturesque residential streets, starting and finishing at Star Elementary School on Cotton Creek Road.
Ensure you register early to take advantage of special pricing: secure your spot for the 5K at just $25 until December 6, or opt for the 1-mile fun run for $20! Participants will receive a race bag filled with goodies, including a commemorative t-shirt, and there will be water stations along the route to keep you hydrated. After the races, don’t miss the awards ceremony to celebrate the top finishers in various categories. 5K RATES: Early Bird Rate: now Dec. 6 = $25 Dec. 7 14 = $30
1-MILE FUN RUN RATES: Early Bird Rate: now Dec. 6 = $20 Dec. 7 14 = $25
No extra charge for strollers. ENTRANTS MUST BE REGISTERED BY NOV. 30 TO BE GUARANTEED A T-SHIRT. Bandit runners are prohibited and will be removed from the race by law enforcement.
Due to liability issues, no dogs or pets are allowed to participate.
EVENT TIMING: Uwharrie Dash formerly Vac & Dash staff from Albemarle will time the race
The 1-mile race will start promptly at 8:00 am and the 5K follows at 9:00 am.
REGISTRATION AND PACKET PICK-UP INFORMATION: Each registered runner will receive a bag containing a t-shirt & other items. Bags will be available for pickup from 3:00 pm 5:30 pm December 13th, at Star Elementary School Gym. Bags may also be picked up the day of the race from 7:30 am 8:30 am at the school.
COURSE DESCRIPTION: Both races take place in a nice residential course in the town of Star. Course starts and ends at Star Elementary School on Cotton Creek Road. Water stations will be located at 1- and 2-mile markers and at the finish line.
