Get ready for an exhilarating day of fun and fitness at the 17th Annual Parkland Pace or Race, taking place on Saturday, August 22, 2026, in the vibrant city of Tacoma, Pierce. This exciting event features a USATF certified 5K course that is flat and fast, perfect for runners of all skill levels looking to achieve their personal bests.
Registration kicks off at 8:30 AM, with participants able to sign up on the day of the race for just an additional $5. The race starts promptly at 9:30 AM, followed by an awards ceremony at 10:30 AM where participants can win fantastic gift cards and medals for the top overall male and female finishers, as well as ribbons for the top three in each gender and age group. With age categories ranging from 0-9 all the way up to 90+, everyone has a chance to compete and celebrate their achievements. All proceeds from this event benefit Washington High School Cross Country, helping to provide shoes and uniforms for local youth runners and offering scholarships to graduating seniors. Join us for a day of community spirit, friendly competition, and support for our young athletes!
