Get ready for an exhilarating day of fun and fitness at the 19th Annual York YMCA Kids Triathlon, taking place on Saturday, May 16, 2026, in the vibrant city of York! This exciting event is designed for young athletes aged 7 to 14, featuring age-appropriate swim, bike, and run distances that challenge and inspire. The triathlon kicks off with the first wave starting at 10:00 a.m., with participants divided into age groups: ages 7-8 will swim 25 meters, bike 1 mile, and run 0.5 miles; ages 9-10 will swim 50 meters, bike 1 mile, and run 0.75 miles; ages 11-12 will swim 100 meters, bike 2 miles, and run 0.75 miles; and ages 13-14 will swim 150 meters, bike 2 miles, and run 1.5 miles.
To ensure all participants are well-prepared, there will be free clinics held prior to the event, including a Swim Clinic on Thursday, May 14, and a Transition Clinic on Friday, May 15. The triathlon will be held rain or shine, and safety is

For youth ages 7 - 14 (Swim, Bike and Run) Distances vary by ages group.
AGE GROUPS:
7-8 Swim 25 Meters, Bike 1 mile, Run .5 miles
9-10 Swim 50 Meters, Bike 1 mile, Run .75 miles
11-12 Swim 100 Meters, Bike 2 miles, Run .75 miles
