This year marks the 15th anniversary of this exciting event, and in addition to the main 5K race starting at 8:30 AM, there will be a one-mile fun run for kids and adults at 7:45 AM, catering to those looking for a shorter distance.
Registration opens at 7:00 AM on race day, with options to register beforehand as well. The 5K registration fee is $25 until November 26th, while the fun run is available for $20, making it an affordable family outing. Bring the whole family, as discounts are available for groups of four or more! All proceeds will support the Share the Harvest food pantry and the Camdenton Cross Country team, ensuring your participation makes a difference in the community. The Lake Area Turkey Trot 5K is a family tradition held on Thanksgiving morning at Camdenton High School. 2024 will be the 15th year for this event. It's attended by many families who want to kick their holiday off with some exercise, friendly competition and camaraderie.
This year we are adding a one mile fun run for kids and adults who don't want to do the full 5k course.
The fun run begins at 7:45, the 5k at 8:30. Walk-up registration will open at 7:00am.
Hosted by FundRuns and all profits go to Share the Harvest food pantry and Camdenton Cross Country team.
5k registration cost:
Through November 26: $25 (no shirt provided) A very few extra shirts have been ordered and will be given away as long as they are available on race morning.
Race Day Registration - $30 (no shirt provided)
FUN RUN REGISTRATION COST:
THROUGH NOVEMBER 26: $20 (NO SHIRT PROVIDED) A VERY FEW EXTRA SHIRTS HAVE BEEN ORDERED AND WILL BE GIVEN AWAY AS LONG AS THEY ARE AVAILABLE ON RACE MORNING.

PACKET PICKUP:
Because of high registration numbers we have added a Wednesday evening packet pickup.

Race morning packet pickup will start at 7:00am at the high school, 662 Laker Pride Rd, Camdenton.
On-site registration will also be available at those times for people that still want to join us.
FAMILY DISCOUNT: Because this is a family event, we want to make it as reasonable as possible Register 4 or more people and save $15. You must register all 4 at the same time for the discount to be automatically applied.
There will be no awards for the fun run. Children completing the event will receive a finishers medal.
5K AWARDS
Overall Male & Female winners receive a plaque, a cash prize & free race entry the following year.
Men's and Women's Divisions awards are given in the following age groups:15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and up.
First in each division receives a gift card. Second and third place receive a pie.
For boys and girls in the following age groups medals are given: 10 & under, 11-14.
