The race will commence at 9:00 AM at Rotary Park, also known as Nautical Mile Park, with early packet pickup available the evening before at Gord's Bar. Participants are encouraged to arrive by 8:45 AM for important announcements. The 5K takes runners through beautiful parks along Water Street with minimal road traffic, ensuring a delightful experience. Plus, all participants will receive a goody bag and can enjoy a delicious chili dog and their favorite beverage post-race. A FESTIVE 5K AND 1.5 MILE RUN/WALK ON SATURDAY, DECEMBER 7TH, TO CELEBRATE THE OPENING OF MARINE CITY 'MERRY TIME' DAYS AS WELL AS COMMEMORATE MIKE MILLER WHO WAS A HUGE SUPPORTER OF MARINE CITY, AND ONE OF THE FOUNDERS OF THIS EVENT.
COME DRESSED UP IN YOUR BEST HOLIDAY COSTUME! ALL PROCEEDS TO BENEFIT THE MARINE CITY ROTARY, MIKE MILLER SCHOLARSHIP FUND AND A LOCAL CHARITY.
EARLY RACE PACKET PICKUP AVAILABLE BE THE NIGHT BEFORE THE RACE AND WILL BE FROM 6PM TO 7PM AT GORD'S BAR LOCATED AT: 514 S. WATER ST. MARINE CITY, MI 48039.
DAY OF REGISTRATION PRICES INCREASE $5. DAY OF REGISTRATION AND CHECK IN WILL TAKE PLACE AT GORD'S BAR 514 S. WATER ST, MARINE CITY, MI 48039 BEGINNING AT 7:30 AM. THE RACE STARTS AT 9:00 A.M. AT ROTARY PARK AKA NAUTICAL MILE PARK PLEASE ARRIVE THERE BY 8:45 A.M. FOR ANNOUNCEMENTS.
5K START IS AT 9 AM AND THE 1.5 MILE SHORTLY AFTERWARDS. 5K IS TWO LOOPS THROUGH ALL THE PARKS ALONG WATER STREET AND THROUGH THE PUBLIC BEACH WITH A TURN AROUND ON N. MARKET TO PEARL ST. THEN A STRAIGHT SHOT BACK TO THE STATING LINE ON THE SIDEWALK OR STREET (EAST SIDE OF WATER STREET) THIS RACE IS MOSTLY ON THE SIDEWALKS SO THERE VERY LITTLE ROAD TRAFFIC, MAYBE A FEW PEDESTRIANS
ALL PARTICIPANTS WILL RECEIVE A GOODY BAG AND BE SURE TO GRAB A CHILI DOG AND YOUR FAVORITE BEVERAGE AT GORDS BAR. BIG MIKE WOULD HAVE LOVED THIS SET UP.
