Organiser's Description
Do you laugh in the face of frigid winter weather? Do you scoff at Mother Natures attempts to keep you shut up indoors, instead basking in the natural winter wonderland? Well, theres no better way to show off your hearty Minnesotan constitution than by taking on the Polar Trek Challenge!!
The Polar Trek ChallengeStarting at the beginning of January, you will have until the last day of winter (Sunday, March 19th) to complete the total distance of one of three Trek options: - Trek to North Branch = 45 miles - Trek to Hinckley = 81 miles - Trek to Duluth = 154 miles
You can choose to walk, jog, run, bike, snowshoe, or cross-country ski; whichever option fits your fancy on that particular day!!
All participants will receive a shirt, which will be mailed out to participants within 2-3 weeks after registration has closed.
LocationAs this is a virtual challenge, you can choose any location you want to complete it. Any trails nearby that you like to snowshoe on? Use em. Already have a favorite cross-country skiing route? Perfect. Weather a little too intense and need to use a treadmill? Go for it!!
As long as youre staying safe and socially distanced, the world is your oyster.
