Get ready to lace up your running shoes for the exciting 2025 Medford Mile Run! Join us on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Shawnee High School in Medford, Burlington, for a thrilling day of athletic competition and community spirit. This professionally timed mile race invites participants of all ages to take on the challenge and see how fast they can run a mile! The event kicks off at 3 PM, starting with our youngest athletes and rolling through to adults, ensuring everyone gets a chance to shine.
In addition to the mile run, the event features a variety of field events including shot put, discus, turbo jav, and long jump, starting at 3:30 PM. Youth runners aged 6-17 can participate for free, and the top three finishers in each age and gender group will receive awards. Bring the whole family for a day filled with fun, food, and friendly competition, all while supporting the MYAA Track & Field Club. Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to be part of an unforgettable community event! In case of rain, the event will be rescheduled to Saturday, May 24. HOW FAST CAN YOU RUN A MILE?!
MYAA Track & Field is proud to host the 2025 MEDFORD MILE RUN at SHAWNEE HIGH SCHOOL on SATURDAY, MAY 10, 2025 at 3 PM!
The mile will start with our youngest participants and end with the adults with rolling start times. Runners will be grouped with similar age/ability groups. Join us for fun, food, field events, and of course, A PROFESSIONALLY TIMED MILE RUN!
All ages welcome and encouraged to participate! Youth runners ages 6-17 run for free! Awards given to top 3 finishers in each age/gender group!
Shot put, discus, turbo jav (in this order) and long jump will also be contested, starting at 3:30 p.m. Shot put and turbo jav are open to athletes born in 2007 through 2018 (turning 6 through 18 this year). Discus is open to athletes born in 2007 through 2014 (turning 11-18 this year). Implements will be provided, but participants are allowed to bring their own.
Long jump is open to athletes born in 2007 and later (turning 18 this year and younger).
