Participants will enjoy a flat, fast course that starts and finishes under the iconic blue transformational link, with course marshals guiding you at nearly every turn.
Race day kicks off at 9 AM, with the course remaining open until 10 AM for all finishers. Be sure to arrive early for packet pickup on Friday, November 21st, from 4-7 PM, or on race day from 7:30-9 AM. Don't miss out on the chance to earn a commemorative t-shirt and compete for medals awarded to the top three finishers in each age category, ranging from 0-10 to 70+. Back for its 10th year, the Turkey Trot 5k is returning to Grand Valley's beautiful campus! Join us the Saturday before Thanksgiving, November 22nd, to burn some pre-thanksgiving calories and earn a commemorative t-shirt (and PR). This year's course includes a start and finish under the iconic blue transformational link, a flat and paved (fast) course, and course marshals at nearly every turn. Best of all, proceeds benefit the GVSU Run Club, helping support student-athletes and their passion for running. So come trot for a cause!
AWARDS:
Medals will be given to the top three in each age category.
Age Categories: 0-10, 11-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
RACE DETAILS:
Start time: 9 am. Course will be open through 10 am. Participants who have not finished by 10 am are welcome to finish their race; however, course marshals may not be present and finish time may not be officially recorded.
Packet pickup: 4-7 pm on Friday, November 21st in Kirkhoff Lobby and Cook deWitt Center on Saturday 7:30-9 am before the race.
Parking: Park for free in Lot H student or faculty parking. Do not park in the "pay to park" spots, unless you want to pay to park there.
