Join us for the vibrant and inspiring 2025 Veterans Salute 5K and 10K on Saturday, November 8th, 2025, in beautiful Concord, Cabarrus! This patriotic event honors those who have bravely served our nation and promises a day filled with camaraderie and community spirit. The races kick off from McCachern Blvd beside the Cabarrus County Parking Lot, with the 5K course winding its way through scenic streets and the 10K taking participants deeper into the picturesque greenway and downtown Concord.
Participants can look forward to competitive yet fun racing, with awards for the top three finishers in both male and female categories, as well as top veterans and age group winners. Whether you're a seasoned runner or a beginner, there’s something for everyone, including a Fun Run for the little ones. Plus, the first 100 10K registrants will receive a stylish hoodie, and all participants who register by October 17th are guaranteed a fantastic T-shirt! Races will begin on McCachern Blvd beside the Cabarrus County Parking Lot. The 5k will run toward Corban Ave, take a right onto Corban Ave, left onto Union, Turnaround at Tribune, run back to Corban into Greenway and back up to the finish using Downtown Connector. The 10k will run toward Corban Ave, take a left and down into the greenway and up to Lawndale, Patton Ave, connect to McAllister Ave, SunnySide, left on Winfield, left on Ingleside, right on Caldwell, left on Hillcrest, and into downtown Concord using Union, back down Corban Ave, and use the downtown connector for the finish. Awards given to overall top 3 male and female, top veteran in male and female, and to the top three male and female finishers in each age group: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69,70-74, 75 and over.

SPEED FOR NEED [https://speedforneed.org/] - Riders with a special need in a customized racing wheelchairs to help them complete the Veterans Salute 5k or 10k. The mission is to raise awareness and foster inclusion. Speed for Need provides the wheelchair and the runner. Connector Greenway with a 1/2 mile turnaround.
