The day also features a Family Activity Tent, offering fun and games for everyone, so come out to cheer on the runners and enjoy the festivities. FOR 46 YEARS, THE COMMUNITY FUND OF DARIEN HAS BROUGHT THE COMMUNITY TOGETHER FOR THE ANNUAL _DARIEN ROAD RACE & FAMILY FUN DAY_. THIS BELOVED FALL EVENT FEATURES TWO RACESA 1.5-MILE TIMED RUN/WALK AND A 5-MILE TIMED RACEPLUS FAMILY-FRIENDLY ACTIVITIES UNDER A BIG TENT. EVERY DOLLAR RAISED SUPPORTS OUR NEIGHBORS IN STAMFORD, NORWALK, AND DARIEN WITH BASIC NEEDS.
SINCE 1951 (75 YEARS!), THE COMMUNITY FUND OF DARIEN HAS GRANTED NEARLY $30,000,000 TO HELP PROVIDE OUR NEIGHBORS ACCESS TO FOOD, HOUSING, PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTHCARE, EMPLOYMENT SKILLS, YOUTH SUCCESS PROGRAMS, AND EMERGENCY SERVICES. YOUR SUPPORT IMPROVES THE LIVES OF OUR NEIGHBORS THROUGH GRANTS TO A NETWORK OF OVER 30 VITAL, NONPROFIT HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES ORGANIZATIONS.
