Join us for the exhilarating 2026 GFRC Busa Bushwhack Trail Races on Sunday, November 15, 2026, in the scenic Framingham, Middlesex area! This exciting event will take place at Brophy Elementary School, where participants will experience the stunning natural trails of Callahan State Park. Choose between a challenging 5.3-mile course or a more demanding 10-mile route, both featuring a mix of hills, rocks, and roots that will test your endurance and skills. The race kicks off with check-in beginning at 7:30 AM, so be sure to arrive early to soak in the pre-race excitement.
Runners will enjoy a well-marked course, complete with mile markers and water stops to keep you hydrated. Celebrate your accomplishments with indoor pre- and post-race festivities at Brophy Elementary, and don’t forget to compete for the coveted log trophy awards for the top finishers in various age groups. With awards for the top three overall male and female finishers, along with age group prizes, there’s plenty of motivation to push your limits. Mark your calendar and prepare for a fantastic day of trail running and community spirit at the Busa Bushwhack Trail Races!

Location: Park, start, and finish at Brophy Elementary School, 575 Pleasant Street (Route 30), Framingham MA 01701 .
Please carpool if you can.
Check-In: Begins at 7:30 AM and closes at 8:45 AM.
Course Description: The natural trails (some hills, some rocks, & some roots) of Callahan State Park. The first 0.3 and last 0.6 mile of each race is on the road with a finish back at Brophy Elementary.
Safety Restrictions: Sorry but pets are not allowed on the race course. Headphones and Air Pods are discouraged.
Race Amenities: Indoor pre- and post-race festivities and use of facilities. Well-marked course with mile markers. There is one water stop on the 5.3 mile course and two water stops on the 10 mile course. See maps for locations.
Commemorative Gift: Still to be determined at this time but we will update soon.
Awards: Log Trophy Awards for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place overall male and female finishers. Also, 1st place finisher log trophy awards for male and female age groups: 0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+. (No duplicate age group awards for the overall 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.)
