Get ready for an exciting summer of fun and fitness at the 2026 MHRRC Summer Twilight Track Series, taking place from July 10th to July 31st in beautiful Lagrangeville, Dutchess. Held at the Union Vale Middle School, this beloved annual event has delighted families and runners for over fifty years! Join us for four consecutive Fridays of thrilling track races, starting at 6:15 PM, where participants of all ages can showcase their speed and determination.
The series features a variety of events tailored for young athletes aged 14 and under, including straightaway dashes, 200m, 400m, and 800m races, ensuring that everyone gets a chance to shine. Plus, every young runner will receive a finisher ribbon to celebrate their achievements! Open races will include distances from the 100m dash up to the challenging 3200m run, with the possibility of a 1600m relay if time allows. Don’t miss out on the chance to receive a special MHRRC Summer Twilight Track Series T-shirt if you’re a registrant aged 14 and under! MHRRC has been hosting these family-oriented community track meets for more than fifty years!
NEW THIS YEAR, THE EVENTS WILL BE HELD AT UNION VALE MIDDLE SCHOOL.
There are four events on four consecutive Fridays in July; JULY 10, 17, 24, AND 31. Registration opens at 5:30pm and the first event starts at 6:15pm sharp. We will delay and/or cancel an event if there is an imminent thunderstorm, so if you are signed up, please pay attention to email and social media (Facebook: MHRRC / Dutchess County Classic and MHRRC group) for real-time updates.
EVERY RUNNER 14 AND UNDER IS AWARDED A FINISHER RIBBON IN EVERY RACE!!
Events span from the four & under toddler's 40m dash to the open 3200m run. If we have daylight left and there are enough runners to form teams, we can also have a mile relay at the end. Sorry, there are no field events. All events are hand timed. If you attend, please remember to keep your bib to reuse at every event.
Kid's Races (14 & under) will include the following events:
- Straightaway dashes (40-100 meters)
- 200-meter dash
- 400-meter dash
- 800-meter dash
Open Races will include the following events:
- 100-meter dash
- 200-meter dash
- 400-meter dash
- 800-meter dash
- 1600-meter run
- 3200-meter run

T-SHIRTS FOR KIDS ARE BACK THIS YEAR! REGISTRANTS 14 AND UNDER WILL RECEIVE A MHRRC SUMMER TWILIGHT TRACK SERIES T-SHIRT.
FREE T-SHIRTS WILL ALSO BE GIVEN TO VOLUNTEERS - PLEASE CONSIDER VOLUNTEERING FOR ONE OR MORE OF OUR EVENINGS. WE NEED ADULT VOLUNTEERS WHO ARE WILLING TO LEARN HOW TO USE THE HAND TIMERS, TO HELP RECORD RESULTS AND PASS OUT RIBBONS AS RUNNERS CROSS THE FINISH LINE, AND TO HELP AT OUR REGISTRATION TABLE.
