This year, the excitement ramps up with the introduction of the 4X4 Loko Relay, where teams of four will tackle the challenge of downing four Loko while racing on foot—a perfect blend of run club camaraderie and college nostalgia!
The festivities kick off at 6:45 PM, with races starting at 7:00 PM. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking for a good time, the Missoula Beer Mile has something for everyone. Not a beer drinker? No problem! Participants can choose from a variety of beverages, including Athletic Brewing, kombucha, or even soda, making it inclusive for all. Stick around after the race for a fun-filled "cigarette 400" in honor of Koby Pederson, a beloved figure in the Missoula Run Club. So gather your friends, bring your best vibes, and prepare for an evening of laughter, competition, and community spirit at the Missoula

Back for 2026 by unpopular demand, the Missoula Beer Mile returns!
NEW FOR Q2, INTRODUCING THE 4X4 LOKO RELAY - an even worse idea than fan favorite Jordan continuing to drink Mal"ort in the Beverage of Choice Mile. Get 3 friends, 4 four lokos, and combine run club and college partying in the early 2010s.
Do you make bad choices? Are you maybe susceptible to peer pressure? Have you never understood why Tuesday Track is not also a Thirsty Thursday? If that sounds like you, you should come out to the Missoula Beer Mile! Timing will be done, probably, in some form or fashion.
The festivities will start at 6:45, with races starting at 7:00 or whenever the race director thinks it's time to start. Then for folks who are still standing, a trip to Flippers for Rainiers on the race director.
Stick around after the mile for a cigarette 400 - run one lap all out while finishing a cigarette of choice in memory of Koby Pederson. He's not dead yet, but we still will all burn a drunk heater to lock back in to hit the bars and honor the founder of Missoula Run Club.
Don't drink beer? Think N/A beer is a cop out? We've got a division for you - drink 5% regulation beer-mile beers, Athletic Brewing, Kombucha, Cream Soda, La Croix, anything really - just come with 4 of them and racing flats and good vibes.
Events are free to run, but BYOB. If you're too broke for a six pack, shoot the RD an email for an application to the diversity scholarship.
