This beloved community event kicks off at 8 a.m. with the Kids' Half-Mile Sparkler Sprint for ages 10 and younger, followed by the exciting Firecracker 5K Fun Run at 9 a.m. The scenic race route takes participants on a loop through the picturesque neighborhoods of Sage Lake, providing a fun and engaging experience for runners and walkers alike.
Don’t forget to wear your best red, white, and blue attire to add to the festive atmosphere! All participants will receive a race bib and a special finisher gift, with kids also getting a youth shirt and medal for their efforts. Additionally, for those who prefer a more laid-back experience, the Zero K option allows you to support the community while enjoying the event without the physical exertion. Proceeds from this exhilarating day will help fund Sage Lake's spectacular fireworks display later that evening. WELCOME TO SAGE LAKE'S LARGEST AND MOST POPULAR COMMUNITY EVENT!
JOIN US AT THE INTERSECTION OF KENYON AND MAPLE ROADS AT 8 A.M. ON SATURDAY, JULY 4. ALSO PLEASE WEAR YOUR BEST RED, WHITE AND BLUE TO HELP MAKE THIS ANNUAL EVENT COLORFUL AND EXTRA FUN.
THE MORNING WILL KICK OFF WITH THE KIDS' HALF-MILE SPARKLER SPRINT FOR AGES 10 AND YOUNGER, STARTING PROMPTLY AT 8:30 A.M.
THE FIRECRACKER 5K FUN RUN WILL BEGIN PROMPTLY AT 9 A.M.
THE RACE ROUTE IS A LOOP. IT WILL TAKE PARTICIPANTS UP KENYON DRIVE AND ONTO SAGE LAKE ROAD BEFORE TURNING INTO THE SUNSET/HAWTHORNE NEIGHBORHOOD LOOP ALONG THE LAKE, THEN BACK ONTO SAGE LAKE ROAD, KENYON DRIVE, THEN RETURN TO THE START. WATER STATIONS ARE AVAILABLE ALONG THE ROUTE.
THE SPARKLER SPRINT IS FOR AGES 10 AND YOUNGER AND HAS ITS OWN REGISTRATION OPTION. PARTICIPANTS WILL RECEIVE A YOUTH SHIRT, RACE BIB, _AND_ A MEDAL. KIDS CAN ALSO REGISTER FOR THE 5K AND RUN OR WALK WITH ADULTS.

SHIRTS AND BIBS WILL ALSO BE AVAILABLE FOR PICK-UP 4-7 P.M. FRIDAY, JULY 3, AT RACE HEADQUARTERS THE SLA STORE ADJACENT TO KENYON'S LAKESIDE RESORT. SHIRTS AND BIBS WILL ALSO BE AVAILABLE ON RACE DAY, BUT WE CAN'T GUARANTEE ALL SIZES WILL BE AVAILABLE.
