Get ready to hit the trails this summer with the 2026 Summer Striders, an exciting XC Summer Training Program designed specifically for high school age distance runners! From June 9 to August 1, 2026, athletes will gather in Columbia, Howard to train together and elevate their running skills. Participants can look forward to three invigorating practices each week, held on Tuesdays at Oakland Mills High from 6:00 to 7:15 PM, Thursdays at Centennial High during the same time, and Saturday mornings at Howard High from 9:00 to 10:30 AM.
To join this fantastic program, runners must be able to cover a distance of 3 miles without walking, ensuring a supportive and challenging environment for all participants. Don’t forget to bring your water bottle and wear your favorite running shoes! Whether you're looking to improve your speed, endurance, or overall performance, the Summer Striders are here to help you achieve your goals and enjoy every step of the journey. Organiser's Description
XC Summer Training Program for high school age distance runners. Train together to get better. 3 practices per week: probably Tuesdays at Oakland Mills High 6:00-7:15pm, Thursdays at Centennial High 6:00-7:15pm, Saturdays at Howard High 9-10:30am. Bringing a water bottle to practice and wearing running shoes is required. Must be able to run 3 miles without walking to join. June 9 to August 1.
