Get ready for the 2026 Summer Striders, an exciting XC Summer Training Program designed specifically for high school age distance runners! Kicking off on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, and running through Saturday, August 1, 2026, this program will take place in the beautiful setting of Columbia, Howard.
Join fellow runners for three invigorating practices each week, where you'll train to enhance your distance running skills and build camaraderie. Expect to meet on Tuesdays at Oakland Mills High from 6:00 to 7:15 PM, Thursdays at Centennial High during the same time, and Saturday mornings at Howard High from 9:00 to 10:30 AM. Participants should come prepared with a water bottle and the right running shoes, and you’ll need to be able to run 3 miles without walking to participate. Embrace the summer and take your running to new heights with the Summer Striders!

Organiser's Description
XC Summer Training Program for high school age distance runners. Train together to get better. 3 practices per week: probably Tuesdays at Oakland Mills High 6:00-7:15pm, Thursdays at Centennial High 6:00-7:15pm, Saturdays at Howard High 9-10:30am. Bringing a water bottle to practice and wearing running shoes is required. Must be able to run 3 miles without walking to join.
