Is it race season yet?!?!... Not quite. But the holiday season isn't over for the Ten Trails Active Club, and there is no better way to celebrate than to RACE! So, please help us celebrate Valentine's Day by joining us for our 3rd annual Ten Trails Active Club Heartfelt Hustle 5K!

Registration will be capped at ~100 people and I will NOT accept race day signups like we have in the past. I'm also asking this year that we do not register kids in strollers our anyone/thing not planning to complete the entire 5k course on their own. This is to help ensure that we leave as many spots open for other racers as possible. Kids in strollers are of course still welcome on the course :) Well behaved dogs are also welcome... but know your friend's limit. There will be a lot of people and potentially other dogs. Be smart.

This year you may also notice a change in our registration process. We've mentioned that these events are organized and hosted by a very small group of people (less than 5) who pay out-of-pocket and donate their time to ensure these community events continue. This year we are encouraging everyone who registers to make a donation to the club to help ensure we can continue to afford and host these events in the future. Even a small $5 donation is a big help and can cover the cost snacks for you and a few follow racers. We will also be selling Pulse Brewed Coffee [https://pulse-brewed-coffee.square.site/s/shop] at the event. Sales of which will go to funding the clubs ongoing activities. We appreciate your support and understanding!

Onto the race details! Remember, we ask everyone to show up 25-30 minutes prior to the start of the race so that everyone gets checked in for a prompt 8:00AM race start. There will be very limited restroom access (one at the park) so plan accordingly. Much like our other events, this is a free and open to folks of all skill levels. We encourage EVERYONE to participate whether from Black Diamond or not! The race will be hand-timed on an open course, and post-race snacks will be provided as usual. In the spirit of Valentine's Day, the prize categories for this race will come with a twist and be based on 2-person teams! Don't worry, your teammate can be whoever you'd like (Max the Dog I'm looking at you!). If you'd prefer to race solo, that's cool too, but you'll need a partner to be eligible for prizes. Given the nature of these prize categories, we will not be processing the results immediately after the race as we will need some time to sort out our winners. Scoring will be cross country style and based on place (not time), so get into a good position and hold it! We will post the results as soon as possible and reach out to the winners regarding the best way to get them their prizes! Even though prizes will be delayed, we still ask that everyone please stick around when finished to cheer on the other racers.

IMPORTANT NOTE: We will again NOT be accepting day-of registration, signing up early helps us immensely in ensuring race-day check-in goes as smoothly as possible. We ask that folks try to show up 25-30 minutes prior to the start time so that we can get everyone checked in and can start the race promptly at 8:00am.
