Join us for the inaugural Winters Couch to Track Charity Challenge on Sunday, May 17, 2026, from 7:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Winters High School Track located at 909 Grant Avenue, Winters, CA 95694. This exciting event, hosted by the Winters Runners and Walkers Club in collaboration with the Winters Joint Union High School, offers a range of challenges suitable for all ages and fitness levels. Participants can choose from the 1 Mile Challenge, which consists of 4 laps around the track, the 3.1 Mile 5K Challenge featuring 12.2 laps, or the Unlimited Challenge, where you can complete as many laps as possible from 7:30 AM to 11:00 AM.

The Winters Runners and Walkers Club and the Winters Joint Union High School are hosting the first annual Winters Couch to Track Charity Challenge that will take place on May 17th, 2026 from 7:30am-11:00am at the Winters High School Track at 909 Grant Avenue, Winters CA 95694.
What are the challenges. The challenges this year are:
The 1 Mile Challenge (4 Laps Around the track.)
The 3.1 Mile 5K Challenge (12.2 Laps around the Track.)
The Unlimited Challenge (Most Laps Completed. 7:30-11:00am.)
This event is fun for the entire family. Crawl, Walk, Run or Run/Walk! For novices that want to complete their first mile to elite Racers that want to complete their personal best time on the track. All are welcome children and adults!
Help raise needed funds to support our Winters High Schools Scholarship Fund for Winters High School seniors that have participated in the High School Track and Cross-Country programs.
Sign up online here, in person on the May 17th event day from 7:00-10:59am at the Winters High School Track.
All participants will receive a numbered custom race bib. Please wear your race bib on the front, clearly visible to race volunteers.
All finishers that sign up before May 1st. 2026 will receive a Custom Race Shirt. Race day sign up participants can receive shirts on a first come first serve basis as supplies last.
On course water will be available, along with post-race food.
Parking is available at the High School Parking lot on Railroad Avenue or on nearby residential parking areas.
The track entrances are located on Hemenway Street.
This will be a self-timed event!
Gift awards for challenge completers will be handed out as supplies last, donated from local sponsors.
Dogs and Bicycles are not allowed on the track! Strollers are welcome on the outer lanes!
Please follow good tract etiquette while competing.
Track Challenge Rules are:
Run or walk in a counter-clockwise direction starting at the Challenge starting line.
Slower participants and walkers, please use the outer lanes.
Faster runners can use the inner lanes.
*Race Proceeds above expenses will be placed in the Winters Runners and Walkers Club Scholarship Fund within the Clubs bank Account. Scholarship awards will be granted in 2027 to graduating seniors planning to attend a college.
