2027 New Year Chase Peace Run will have everything you need to fight excuses and get moving:
Distance, Amazing Coffee & Hot Chocolate, Course Hydration, Photo Ops, Delicious Smoothies, and more!
Some key changes for our runners, and their supporters:
We've added more distances so runners can choose a 5k - 10k - 15k. Each route flows down the river, so everyone can still run together how they choose.
We changed our finish line so supporters can stay comfy and see their runner finish strong with a photo finish they choose.
We've also added resolution bibs that runners can decorate at packet pickup or the morning of our run.
There will also be a warm space to connect for supporters and runners inside the San Antonio Mennonite Church. SAMC is a beautiful neighborhood hub that is available throughout the year as a shared, safe, and life giving place for San Antonio.
Why the pricey race fee? Our higher ticket price will be aiming to raise $10,000 for SAMC and all of its missions that are fueled with your generous support. Read more about them HERE. Your ticket price will still be rewarded thanks to our amazing sponsors and their offerings.
Joining a group run goes beyond how fast and how far you go it's about showing up and being encouraged by the people who have chosen to be a runner that day. For some of us, getting up early on a cold morning will be the challenge, and for others, itll be going the 10K distance. In either case, embrace the challenge and let's make some fun of it!

PLEASE NOTE:
Cost & Donations: Any additional money you donate goes directly to the church fundraising goal of $10,000. Give joyfully!
Timing: Although we will be tracking timing on paper, matching race bibs, every runner will need to utilize the Strava App HERE, by following your selected route and starting and stopping your device accordingly. Once all runners have finished the leaderboard will be displayed and there will be a top 3 category and award for each distance.
Rain check: In the event of one of those crazy Texas cold fronts, we may push the date of the race to a later date. If the weather is cold, that is to be expected and the run will go on. Inside the church will be nice and cozy for you.
