Although our speedy 10k is on hold due to road construction, participants can still enjoy a leisurely walk or run, with the option to add extra laps for those feeling energetic.
The race will kick off at 8:30 AM at the Marina Park Pavilion, and we're excited to encourage all participants to don their best "construction" themed outfits to celebrate the ongoing improvements. Don't miss the chance to win a special prize for the most creative attire! With proceeds supporting Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful and Amateur Radio Emergency Services, this non-timed event is not only about fun but also about giving back to the community. Organiser's Description
Registration is now closed. Please contact the Parks and Recreation Department at 775-353-2376 between 9 AM and 4 PM if you wish to register. Shirts will not be available for the event; you will be notified when additional shirts become available. Entry fee: $50.
While Sir Stuffy totally rocks a hard hat, well leave the heavy lifting to the real pros. Our speedy 10k is on hold while Sparks Blvd gets a makeover with road construction, but dont worry, itll be back before you know it. This years Turkey Trot will keep things cozy with our classic 2-mile stroll around the Marina, perfect for soaking up the views and holiday cheer. Feeling extra peppy? Go ahead and trot that extra mile or four by taking two more laps around the Marina. And to make this year extra memorable, were bringing back our famous Turkey Trot sweatshirts!
To help show our support and excitement for the widening project, we are encouraging walkers and runners to wear something "construction" related! We can't wait to see what you all come up with and the runner or walker that has the most construction related clothing on (throughout their run or walk), gets a special prize from our special events team.
Race proceeds ($2 per runner) will go to Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful and Amateur Radio Emergency Services.

2 MILE EVENT: NON-TIMED EVENT
. Begins at 8:30am at the Marina Park Pavilion
. 1 clockwise lap around the Sparks Marina
PARKING: Open parking will be available at the marina. Additional parking can be found next to Western Village, along the marina pathway.
STROLLERS & DOGS: We encourage the use of jogging strollers along the route of this family-friendly event. However, out of consideration for other participants, dogs will not be allowed on the course (except for registered and licensed service dogs).
SHIRT & EVENT INFORMATION PICK UP AND WEEK OF EVENT REGISTRATION: November 24th - November 26th, 9am-4pm at the City of Sparks Parks and Recreation Department, 98 Richards way, Sparks, NV 89431.
*****PARTICIPANTS WHO REGISTER DURING SHIRT PICK-UP WILL NOT RECEIVE A SHIRT BEFORE THE EVENT. SHIRTS WILL BE ORDERED AFTERWARD, AND PARTICIPANTS WILL BE NOTIFIED WHEN THEY ARE READY FOR PICK-UP. PLEASE ALLOW UP TO 3 WEEKS.*****
