Get ready for an inspiring and energetic day at the 2nd Annual 9/11 LeRoy Homer 5K - We Run So They Can Fly, taking place on Sunday, September 7, 2025, in Evesham Township, Burlington. This exciting event features a flat and fast 5K race starting at the Memorial Sports Complex, as well as a leisurely 1-mile walk, making it perfect for participants of all ages and fitness levels. The race kicks off at 9:11 AM to honor the memory of September 11, 2001, and promises a fantastic atmosphere with chip timing, HD finish line video, and instant results available through RunSignUp.
Participants will have the chance to earn Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals in various age groups, and race day packets will be available from 7:30 AM. Don't miss out on the opportunity to secure your requested t-shirt size by registering before August 11, 2025. For those who prefer to run virtually, you can complete your race anytime until September 14, 2025. 2ND ANNUAL 9/11 LEROY HOMER 5K - WE RUN SO THEY CAN FLY!
We are back! Join us for a 5K or 1 mile walk. Flat and fast 5K starting in Memorial Sports Complex in Evesham, NJ. Chip timing, HD finish line video, text messaging and instant results on RunSignUp. Gold, Silver and Bronze medals in each age group. Race day packets will be distributed on race day beginning at 7:30 AM. Race will begin at 9:11 AM in honor of 9/11/01.
T-shirt requested size is only guaranteed with registration through 8/11/25. All registrations after that, t-shirts and/or sizes will be subject to availability. We will do our best to accommodate everyone!
Virtual Runners - You can run anytime from now till Sept 14, 11:59PM. To submit your time, click on "Results" in the menu, look up your name and enter your time. Our goal is to send your t-shirt as soon as possible but you do not have to wait for your race day packet to arrive, in order to run. We would love to see photos of you on your race day! LeRoy Homer, resident of Marlton, was the First Officer on United Flight 93 which tragically crashed in Shanksville, PA on Sept 11, 2001. The crew and passengers fought off terrorists and thwarted an attack against the US Capitol. The LeRoy Homer Foundation [https://leroywhomerjr.org] awards flight scholarships to young adults who wish to pursue careers in aviation. The proceeds from this 5K will benefit our aviation scholarship program to help create the next generation of pilots. Come out for a great run or walk while supporting a wonderful cause.
