This exciting event features a chip-timed 5K Run/Walk and a delightful 100-yard Fun Run, all in support of the Hudson Valley Hawks 12u Orange Team as they raise funds for their unforgettable trip to the Cooperstown Dreams Park Experience.
Kick off the holiday season with a festive atmosphere as participants are encouraged to don their best holiday attire. The race will start and finish at our village park, where you'll find medals waiting for race winners, along with delicious food and hot beverages to warm you up. Every Fun Run participant will receive a prize, ensuring that everyone leaves with a smile! Don’t miss the chance to win fantastic raffle prizes, including a grand prize getaway to Lake Placid and a Confluence Running Fitness Package. Organiser's Description
This chip-timed 5K Run/Walk and Fun Run will benefit the Hudson Valley Hawks 12u Orange Team as they raise funds for their trip to the Cooperstown Dreams Park Experience. Begin and end at our village park with medals for race winners, food, and hot beverages. Participants are encouraged to dress up in festive attire and run their way into this holiday season!
Fun Run is 100 yard dash and a prize will be awarded to all participants.
We will also be raffling off two packages that have been generously donated by Confluence Running [https://www.confluencerunning.com/]:
* GRAND PRIZE: Lake Placid Getaway - 3-day/2-night weekend getaway on Mirror Lake in the Olympic Village of Lake Placid, NY. Valued at $1,200
* SECOND PRIZE: Confluence Running Fitness Package valued at $370

The race will begin at Vern Allen and runners will proceed on Ahern Blvd towards Woodfield Park, making a loop on Highgrove and Hopkins, before returning to Vern Allen via Ahern Blvd. Medals Awarded by Age Group: Under 10 10-12 13-15 16-19 20-29 30-39 40-49 50-59 60-69 70-75 76+ ***Baseball Teams/organizations: Sign up as a group (min of 3 participants). Prize awarded to top team. -
