This uplifting event is dedicated to supporting veterans, first responders, and healthcare workers through mental health services provided by Operation True North. Participants can choose to run, ruck, or walk in the 5k, with a Fun Run option available for those who prefer a more leisurely pace. Registration begins at 7:30 am, and the race will wind its way to the City of Longview's Teague Park, home to our city’s veterans' memorials.
With a goal of raising $20,000 through registration fees and sponsorships, your participation not only promotes fitness and community spirit but also contributes to a worthy cause. For just $40, participants will receive a race day T-shirt and a swag bag, with prizes for top male and female runners and ruckers. In 2021, Planet Beach (Longview, Tx) created an amazing event support a veteran focused non profit near and dear to their heart.
Operation True North is honored to be given the opportunity to continue the legacy that they started in our East Texas community and host the 3rd Annual Veteran's Day 5k Run or Ruck and Fun Run. Proceeds from the 5k will benefit our organization and our mission to provide mental health services to veterans, first responders, medical health care workers and their families.
Our goal is to donate $20,000 to the foundation through sponsorships registration fees.
Registration is $40 and includes a race day T-shirt as well as a swag bag for the first 200 participants. Don't want to run or ruck? No problem! All ages welcome and walking is encouraged. If you are physically unable to run or ruck, just sign up for the Fun Run!
Registration will begin at 7:30 am, Saturday November 16, located at Operation True North.
