Start 2026 off right with another great year of the Hill and Dale 8 Miler presented by the Memphis Runners Track Club. This course, which is on roads and paved paths, will take you through the Hills and Dales of our great Meeman Shelby Forest State Park. It is one of only a handful of USATF certified 8 mile courses in the state of TN (certificate # TN20013MS).
NO ONSITE RACE DAY REGISTRATION! REGISTRATION WILL REMAIN OPEN SO PLEASE REGISTER ON YOUR OWN DEVICE AT HOME.
RACE TIMING
Race will be chip (electronically) timed by the Memphis Runners Track Club.

DIRECTIONS
DO NOT RELY ON GPS FOR EXACT RACE LOCATION! You should print this part or write these down - especially if you are directionally challenged and/or have never been out to the park before. Start location is the same area as the Road Race 10 miler.
You can follow GPS to get you on North Watkins west/north of Hwy 51 (aka Thomas). Follow North Watkins until it ends at Locke-Cuba Road. Turn LEFT. Go ~0.7 mile where you will come to a 4 way stop at the General Store. Continue STRAIGHT at that intersection for ~1.6 miles to the park entrance. Turn RIGHT into the park (on Grassy Lake Road). Continue STRAIGHT inside the park. At ~1 mile into the park, you will come to the start line area. Registration is in the lodge on the far end of the parking lot to the left.
ALLOW EXTRA TIME to get out there, park and be ready to run. It seems to always take longer than you think it will.
