This exciting event invites you to form a co-ed team of four to tackle a thrilling 1-mile relay race around scenic Smith Lake, starting and finishing at the Boat House. With limited spots available, teams can choose to compete as Sponsored, Open/Community, or Elite, ensuring something for everyone. Sponsored teams will enjoy exclusive gear from their brands, while cash prizes await the top three Elite teams, with awards of $300, $180, and $140 up for grabs!
Kick off the festivities at 5:30 PM with check-in and shoe demos, followed by races at 6:00 PM for Open teams, 6:30 PM for Sponsored teams, and 7:00 PM for Elite teams. The celebration doesn’t stop there! Join us for an unforgettable afterparty from 7:30 to 10 PM, complete with a DJ and delicious food trucks. THE ROOST REBELLION IS BACK.
WELCOME TO THE 4THANNUAL ROOST REBELLION RELAYS! The race is on Sept 2nd and will feature 3 different Relays!
* Assemble your 4 x 1 mile (ish) relay team to race around Smith Lake in Wash Park, starting and stopping at the Boat House. Each team needs to be co-ed with at least 1 woman per team.
* The cost is $160 for a SPONSORED TEAM. Spaces are limited. $100 per team for OPEN/COMMUNITY AND ELITE TEAMS.
WHAT'S A SPONSORED TEAM?
* SPONSORED TEAMS will be decked out by their respective brands on race day.
* There are limited sponsored team slots. First come first serve.
* The ENTIRE SPONSORED TEAM ROSTER MUST BE FILLED OUT BY AUGUST 5TH in order to procure your gear.
HOW TO CREATE A TEAM
* The first person to register will CREATE a team and pay the entire fee.
* Open teams will create a team name.
* Sponsored Teams will choose a pre-created slot, ie, "Sponsored Team Slot 4". Your official team name will be assigned once your brand is selected.
* Elite Teams will enter their club name or create a name.
* Following team members will register and JOIN that team during the process. There will be no charge on RunSignUp for the next 3 members.
* Every person must register through RunSignUp.
* You will sign up for the race you are competing in.
SCHEDULE
5:30pm - Check-in opens at the Boathouse in Washington Park. There will be shoes to demo for any Open or Elite racer.
6:00pm - Open Race
6:30pm - Sponsored Race
7:00pm - Elite Race
7:30 - 10pm - Afterparty in the Boathouse will include DJ and Food Truck.
PRIZES
There will be fun prizes for the Open and Sponsored races as well as a cash purse for the Top 3 Elite Teams (1st - $300, 2nd - $180, 3rd - $140).
