Join us for the 4th of July Run Through Maplewood on Friday, July 4th, 2025! This exciting tradition takes place in the charming neighborhood streets of Maplewood, Essex, and features a semi-hilly 5K race that promises to be both fun and challenging for runners and walkers alike.
This year, the event supports the Columbia High School Track & Field and Cross Country programs, making it a great opportunity to give back to the community while enjoying a festive day outdoors. The first 220 registered participants will receive a race T-shirt, and with chip timing for both the start and finish, you'll have accurate results to celebrate your accomplishment. Race-day check-in and bib/shirt pickup will commence at 8 AM on July 4th, with an additional opportunity for early pickup on July 3rd from 4:30 to 7:30 PM at Underhill Field. Whether you’re running, walking, or simply supporting a good cause, your participation will help our talented athletes thrive. We can't wait to see you there!

Please join us for our favorite summer tradition, the 4th of July Run Through Maplewood! This 5K race benefits the Columbia High School Track & Field and Cross Country programs. It's a semi-hilly run (or walk) through the neighborhood streets of beautiful Maplewood, New Jersey. We'll have chip start and finish, and race T-shirts will be guaranteed for the first 220 registered runners.
Track & Field / Cross Country is the largest athletics team at CHS, and community support has been vital to enabling our amazing athletes to compete year after year. We're very thankful for our generous sponsor for this event, Jill Sockwell Group.
