Join us for the 5K VFW 6527 Run/Walk for Warriors on Saturday, February 22, 2025, in beautiful Greenwood, Arkansas! This exciting event, hosted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6527, features a chipped-timed 5K run/walk designed to support local veterans in need. Participants can check in between 8:00 and 8:45 AM at the VFW Post located at 305 E Center St. The race kicks off at the Coal Miner’s Memorial, next to First National Bank, and takes you on a scenic route across Bell Road, behind the high school, and back down Main Street, culminating in a festive finish at Town Square.
Everyone who joins the race will receive a medal, with additional awards for top finishers in various age categories. Be among the first 250 to register and snag a stylish event t-shirt! This year, we're adding some fun with placement medals for the fastest runners and the cutest dog costumes, so bring your furry friends along! Gather your friends and family, and let’s make a difference for our veterans while enjoying a day of fitness and community spirit!

The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6527 in Greenwood, Arkansas, will be hosting a chipped-timed 5K Run/Walk for Warriors on February 22, 2025. All monies raised will be used to help local veterans in-need.
* The 5K CHECK-IN between 8-8:45am at our VFW POST on the Square in Greenwood, AR, at 305 E Center St.
* OUR STARTING POINT IS AT THE COAL MINER'S MEMORIAL, NEXT TO FIRST NATIONAL BANK.
* The route will take you STRAIGHT ACROSS Bell Road, pass behind the high school and back down Main Street, with a finish at Town Square. WE WILL HAVE CLEAR MARKERS ON THE ROAD AND A NEW MAP POSTED BEFOREHAND for you.
* The race will be officially chipped and timed with JAYMAX RACE TIMING SERVICES, and volunteers will man various locations along the route.
* MEDALS FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS
* TOP PLACE MEDALS IN DIFFERENT AGE CATEGORIES AND T-SHIRTS FOR THE FIRST 250 TO REGISTER.

The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6527 in Greenwood, Arkansas, will be hosting a chipped-timed 5K Run/Walk for Warriors on February 22, 2025. This is a great event for a very worthy cause. All monies raised will be used to help or assist local veterans in-need within our community. Often, we will assist a brother-in-arms with either a utility bill, groceries, providing a ride to an appointment, or help with a repair, among other things. We are veterans helping veterans, and if you would like to join us on our mission, we encourage and greatly appreciate you to making a donation today.
