Join us for the 5th Annual Reach for the Stars 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Hains Point Park in Washington, D.C.! With a fundraising goal of $60,000, every step taken during this event directly contributes to cultural responsiveness and mentorship programs that help bridge the gaps in education for Latino students.
The festivities kick off bright and early at 8:00 AM with check-in and pre-race activities, followed by a warm-up session at 8:30 AM and the race starting at 9:00 AM. Whether you're racing, walking, or cheering from the sidelines, everyone is welcome, including strollers and walkers! Plus, don't miss the post-race party at Hains Point Picnic Area, where we celebrate health, wellness, and girl power together. Latinas Leading Tomorrow (LLT) is addressing the unique challenges and barriers faced by Latinas in their academic success and personal development. We recognize that schools often overlook the cultural, language, and socio-economic needs of Latino students, and we aim to bridge this gap through cultural responsiveness and mentorship.
Come out and enjoy our 5K in Washington DC at Hains Point Park. We invite you to support our upcoming 4th annual Reach for the Stars 5K Run/Walk, where funds raised will directly contribute to our efforts in empowering Latina students. We have an ambitious goal of $60,000 this year. We are confident that with the help of individuals, corporate sponsorships, and the community coming together, we can reach this goal!
