Get ready for a spooktacular day of fun and festivities at the 5th Annual Oberlin Monster Mash Dash 5k Fun Run on Sunday, October 26, 2025! This exciting event takes place in the charming town of Oberlin, Lorain, and features a delightful 3.1-mile route that winds its way through the picturesque streets, starting and finishing at Tappan Square, located at the corner of Main and College.
Participants are encouraged to don their most creative, fabulous, or awkward Halloween costumes for a chance to win fantastic prizes! Prizes include $200 for the best overall costume, along with awards for the top three costumes in both adult and kids categories. Not a fan of running? No problem! You can also walk, skate, bike, or simply cheer from the sidelines. After the run, join the Halloween afterparty at Black River (15 S. Main St.) for even more fun. Come celebrate the spirit of Halloween with us at this joyous community event!

The Oberlin Monster Mash Dash is an un-timed and unsupported 3.1-mile fun run weaving throughout Oberlin beginning and ending in Tappan Square at the corner of Main and College. Wear your most creative, fabulous, or awkward Halloween costume! The best costumes win special prizes.
*Best Costume Prizes (you must be a race participant to be eligible for a prize)
1st Place Overall - $200
2nd Place Overall - $100
3rd Place Overall - $50
1st Place Kids (Under 13) - $50
2nd Place Kids (Under 13) - $25
3rd Place Kids (Under 13) - $25
Best Family Costume - $100
And, join us at Black River (15 S. Main St.) after the run for a Halloween afterparty!
Don't really like running? That is ok. You can walk, skate, bike, or just hang out at the finish line and cheer us on.
