Were excited to welcome you to our 6th Annual Canines Against Cancer Fundraiser on FRIDAY, AUGUST 22, 2025, FROM 500 PM at the MORGAN ROAD PAVILION (behind the Irish Cultural Center of Western Massachusetts).

All proceeds from this event support EMWAs free programs and resources for cancer survivors and their families, helping them move beyond diagnosis and treatment to reclaim their lives. EMWA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting survivors after treatment endsa time when many feel physically depleted, emotionally overwhelmed, and unsure of how to move forward. While other organizations focus on research and care during treatment, EMWA fills a critical gap in the healing journey.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE: The world is your [dogs] oyster! Whether you join us IN PERSON or choose your own walking route, YOUR PARTICIPATION MATTERS! Since our first virtual walk in 2020, weve embraced a HYBRID MODEL, so you can walk wherever you are. Bring your dog (or notfurry friends are welcome but not required), gather your loved ones, and be part of a meaningful movement.

* Custom Amount is to donate an additional amount in addition to your registration fees. (not required)

EVENT ACTIVITIES: KICK OFF SUMMER WITH THIS FREE, FULL- FILLED FAMILY EVENT WHILE SUPPORTING AN IMPORTANT CAUSE.

Enjoy a relaxing stroll on the trail and collect inspirational rocks along the way. Register in advance (no fee) to receive $1.00 off a food purchase. Theres FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY with a kids craft table, playground, horseshoes, cornhole, and other family-friendly activities. Try your luck at our WINE RING TOSSif you ring a bottle, its yours to take home!

Delicious food will be available for purchase, including hot dogs, hamburgers, and ice creamall provided by our amazing volunteers. Quench your thirst with craft beer, wine, seltzers, lemonade, water, or a refreshing specialty cocktail. Be sure to capture special moments at our photo bench, and dance and sing along to LIVE MUSIC BY CO-2.

* CAN I PARTICIPATE IF I DONT HAVE CANCER OR IM NOT A CANCER SURVIVOR?

* ABSOLUTELY, ALL ARE WELCOME, you dont have to have cancer or be a cancer survivor to participate in our Canines Fur Cancer Support Walk.

* CAN I PARTICIPATE WITHOUT A CANINE?

* Of course! Canines Against Cancer welcomes all human walkers, with or without a canine companion. There will be plenty of cute canines begging for your attention. Because canines are cute, canines need/love walks, walking is great exercise, walking with others is even greater & walking with canines for a cause is super great.

* CAN I PARTICIPATE IF I DONT LIVE IN WESTERN MA?

* Yes!!! The benefit of our Hybrid Canines Against Cancer Support Walk is, that you can participate no matter where you are; Massachusetts, New England, Connecticut, New York, across the country or across the globe; just register at www.caninesagainstcancer.org & join us Friday, June 22nd from 5 - 9PM

* DO I HAVE TO FUNDRAISE?

* Youre not obligated to fundraise for our Canines Against Cancer Support Walk though it helps & its easy. Our fundraisers are the canines (& non-canines) who support our survivors. Humans can register themselves or a favorite non-human & fundraise through your contacts via text, email, distribute event signs & social media; Facebook & Messenger, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Snapchat, LinkedIn, YouTube & so on & so on & so on

* HOW CAN I SPONSOR YOUR EVENT?
