Join us for the 9th Annual Om Memorial 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at Thompson Park in Monroe Township, Middlesex! This uplifting event kicks off at 7:30 AM, bringing together the community to support pediatric cancer research and celebrate the spirit of Optimistic Om. Participants can choose between a scenic 5K run and a leisurely 1-mile walk, making it a perfect day for families and friends to unite for a great cause.
Don’t miss the chance to collect your race t-shirt and bib on May 14 or 15 at designated pickup locations, or on race day itself. The excitement continues with a special performance by the Monroe Township School District Percussion Symphony and medal presentations for top finishers in various age categories. So grab your lawn chairs and blankets, and be ready to cheer on all participants as we show that together, we can make a difference in the fight against pediatric cancer!

* Please present registration confirmation email on your phone for faster pickup. If you are picking up t-shirts/ bibs for other participants please have them forward their pickup emails to you to help with the pickup.
* If you are unable to pick up your t-shirt/bib on Thu/ Fri, you can pick them up on the day of the event from "Bibs & T-shirt Pickup" desk near the information desk.
* If you are on a team, please check with your team leader if he/she will be picking up your teams t-shirts/bibs.
* Our bibs have a RFID tag which helps with race timing. Hence, only the 5K runners will be given a bib, 1 mile walk is not timed.
PARKING INFORMATION
* Thompson Park entrances will be open for cars from 7:30am to 8:30am for the participants. NOTE: THOMPSON PARK ENTRANCES WILL BE CLOSED FOR CARS FROM 8:30AM TO 10:30AM (SEE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW IF YOU ARRIVE AFTER 8:30AM OR NEED TO LEAVE BEFORE 10:30AM).
* There will be rangers at the park entrances from Jamesburg (Forsgate Dr) and Perrineville Rd; they will guide you to the parking lot in Thompson Park.
* THE GATES WILL RE-OPEN FOR EXIT FROM THE PARK ONLY AFTER THE 5K RUN HAS COMPLETED, AROUND 10:30 AM.
* If you arrive after 8:30am when the park entrance is closed for cars or if you need to leave before 10:30am, please park in the Fir Dr parking lots off of Perrineville Rd (near Soccer fields) or in Jamesburg (Railroad Ave area). It is a short walk from those parking lots/ areas to the event area near the Gazebo/ Zoo in Thompson Park.
* Please do NOT park in the High School parking lot.
* PLEASE BRING YOUR LAWN CHAIRS & BLANKETS.
